Tanaaz is a dual – qualified lawyer in India and Canada. Before joining Wiebe Wittman Robertson LLP, she worked as an associate lawyer at a reputable Calgary, Alberta based law firm where she gained experience in employment law, civil litigation and business laws and litigation. Tanaaz has also practiced with a prominent law firm in Mumbai, India in the areas of civil and commercial laws and litigation for approximately three and a half years before her relocation to Canada in 2018. Her role in India entailed advising esteemed clients including national banks, trusts, media conglomerates, multinational businesses, and elite families in areas of business and commercial laws, strategizing trial procedures, conducting alternate dispute resolution processes where appropriate, preparation of pleadings and legal documents, and providing end-to-end cost-effective resolutions for legal matters.

Upon her arrival in Canada, Tanaaz completed her equivalency accreditation (NCA) in law, articled for a year in areas of civil litigation, employment laws, administrative and regulatory laws, insurance laws, and went on to fulfill the requirements for her license to practice law in Alberta.

Tanaaz strives at providing the most practical and lucrative solutions to her clients and believes in the power of negotiation before escalation to trial. If the situation arises, she is a zealous advocate for her clients in court being an experienced litigator. Tanaaz believes in giving back to the community and has served at many voluntary organizations including the Elizabeth Fry Society, CIWA Calgary, Spastic Society Mumbai and the Aga Khan Development Network – Health and Education. She is a girl scout since the age of 5. Tanaaz is an avid traveler, loves to color, read fictional books, and try different types of cuisines.
